Meet the Team

After running a private practice in Medford, Oregon for seven years, Dr. David Smith relocated to his home town in Florence, Colorado where he could literally raise his family on the same street with his relatives. Dr. Smith appreciates being back in his home town and still enjoys attending Florence High School sporting events where he too played varsity basketball and participated in many sporting activities.

As a dentist, Dr. Smith enjoys family practice where he can work with patients of all ages and perform a large variety of procedures. He generates great satisfaction from creating beautiful smiles for his patients and promoting good oral health. He loves going to work every single day.

Shelene Royer grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. She moved to Florence, Colorado in 1992 and has worked at Florence Family Dentistry since 2006. Shelene enjoys working on the positive side of medicine by educating patients on the proper ways to care for their teeth and bringing out the most healthy smiles possible.

Shelene enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, hiking, biking, and spending time with friends and family. She has three children and her husband teaches physical education at Penrose Elementary School.
